When you order this item, you will receive one Zecto Drive that uses white LEDs for the front light and another Zecto Drive that uses red LEDs for the rear light. For the price, I was surprised to see that you receive both the front and rear Zecto Drive lights. The real Zecto Drive lights cost about double the price just for one. So for me to actually see both the front and rear lights arrive only a week after I ordered was surprising.
Both of these lights produce 40 lumens on their highest settings. As a comparison, the Lezyne products, their front light produces 80 lumens while their rear light only produces 20 lumens. I have a Lezyne Zecto Drive for comparison and honestly, the Lightmalls units do a fine job in gaining the car driver's attention.
Both Lightmalls Zecto Drive lights have four modes of lighting: H/L solid light, slow and fast flash. Hold the button down for a couple of seconds and the SOS feature will activate.
Both lights come with a rubber band for mounting which is an exact copy by Lezyne. Also included is a USB cable to charge the light. Having taken these lights several times off-roading, their mounting systems do not move. Also, just like the Lezyne lights, when these Lightmalls lights are on, they have light that is emitted from the side to help with all-around better visibility.
These lights actually are easy to switch on and activate vs. the Lezyne Zecto Drive lights. No need to hold the switch down a couple of seconds to turn the light on like the Lezyne lights. Unfortunately neither light has a battery level indicator like the Lezyne lights. You do get what you pay for but the lights are rated for approximately 3-5 hours of use. Similar to the Lezyne lights.
During charging, both Lightmalls lights glow red to indicate they are depleted and in need of a recharge. Once the batteries are fully charged, the front light will glow from red to green. For the rear light, there is an orange colored LED on the side that activates and the red glow subsides.
I had a friend tell me that he was able to see my flashing Lightmalls Zecto Drive lights over a half mile away in the dark. So for the price, and if you don't care these are not made by Lezyne, these will do the job ensuring you will be seen at night. Both lights throw a wide beam of light. The Lezyne front light is more a focused beam for comparison.
Overall, I have been pleased with the quality and performance of these Lightmalls version of the Lezyne Zecto Drive LED lights, on and off-road.
